The Lakes

My favourite place, made famous by the 19th century poets who made their homes here.The majority of the area was designated as a National Park in 1951. The second largest in the UK. It boasts the Highest Mountain and the longest Lake in England.

Purbeck

Take a walk to Old Harry Rocks at Swanage and to Corfe, with its Castle. This is the Southern Coast of Dorset.

The inspirational home of Enid Blyton who wrote the Secret Seven and the Famous Five, which are based around the Isle of Purbeck.

A ride on the Steam Railway is definitely a must.

New Forest

This is an area of outstanding natural beauty, various camp sites are available but due to the areas popularity, are often booked up very early. Excellent for cycling and or just strolling amongst the trees and various wild life, such as the ponies.

Where time has stood still, this diamond shaped Island is a place to step back and enjoy all that was once good about England in the 50's. Home of the Red Squirrel who will delight you every time you see one.

Cornwall

Our second home......we lived here for 4 years, in St Austell.

Cornwall is a very special place. Its coastline is dramatic with its beautiful fishing harbours and spectacular beaches.

Then of course there is the famous Cornish pasties and luscious cream teas.

Peak District

This is our first visit, so crossing the stepping stones Dove Dale and tasting a Bakewell Pudding is high on the list of things that we must do.

Matlock Bath with its cable car to Abraham Heights, Crich with its collection of Trams and Matlock itself and its Mills, especially that of Sir Richard Arkright.

And who could forget Bakewell and Buxton, Tissington trail and Monsal Trail. So much to see and do.
