Wellington

Our second trip this year, we choose to visit Wellington. Cadeside the Caravan club site is close to the road and a railway runs behind. We share the site with a huge storage area, once grass pitches. Lots of bird song due to the trees.

After setting up, we sit down to a cup of tea and some lunch. Its wrap up warm time for a walk along the side of the road to Chelston to look at some motorhomes.

Town Centre

Dinner is one of Lesley's beef wellingtons and chips ( Beefburger wrapped in pastry with a touch of "Marmite" and onions ). "Recipe link" http://allrecipes.com/recipe/beefburger-parcels/

The Town consist's of a High Street and a second Street crosses half way along. There are three Supermarkets: Asda the largest, Waitrose and a Coop. Unless you like shopping your day is going to be short.

Monument
We did however enjoy a cup of coffee and a lemon and sultana "Danish" in Waitrose. An attempt to walk to the monument 6 miles away was aborted due to the busy roads and the muddy fields. We looked around the church instead before returning to the campsite.

After a rest back at camp we took a short walk along the disussed canal, it looks promising and so will return in the Summer.

Dinner was a pre-cooked "shepherds pie", now I am stuffed.
